Getting ready for an academic comeback
Hi, It's Andrea! With only a few days left until most people start school, I thought I'd share some tips and advice on how to be prepared for all aspects of school this year. Enjoy :)
Bag Preparation & essentials
First, you want to make sure that your bag is fully equipped for everything at school. For example, make sure you have all the right stationary for each subject; pens, highlighters, pencils and multiple notebooks. Making sure each subject is layed out simply, efficiently effectively means it's easier to study later. I also find that it's easier to focus and enjoy the work if you romanticise your stationary, even just a little bit.
Not only is stationary important, having an emergency kit is essential for enjoying school and not panicking about any sort of small issues that may occur. In this kit you may want to include: travel size beauty products, tissues, hand sanitizer, sanitary products and even a pair of socks.

Studying & Homework
Now that your bag is prepared for everything throughout the day, you need to keep on top of work and exams.
First, have a schedule. Break up assignments and plan specific times for when to do them. Instead of saying "I revise for 2 hours on Friday", say "I'll revise Topic 2 Spanish on Friday from 6pm". Being specific means having specific goals and feeling more accomplished once you've finished them. Next, find which study method helps you the most. For example, do research to find out your best way to learn, some people learn best from listening, some from reading or some from writing things down. The best methods I've used are blurting, testing and the Feynman. Lots of articles online can be found explaining these methods.
I hope these tips prove some use and you enjoy school (as much as possible) this year. Come back soon, Andrea x
