'burrrr'

Summer turns to Autumn and it's time fo the best few months of the year- the 'Ber' or 'Burrr' months.

Hi, it's Andrea!

Now, I know that it's not currently Autumn yet but I can't wait until the 22nd for it to astronomically start so, here's everything I love to do within these 'Burrr' months in order to enjoy myself to the maximum amount.

First, I start off simple by rewatching some of my favourite fall films (and series). These usually include: Dead Poets Society (despite it making me cry each and every time), Gilmore Girls and most importantly a rewatch of all eight Harry Potter films along with the Fantastic Beasts trilogy. I would also like to take a moment to mention an absolutely immaculate student short film that released last year- Glory & Gore.

The film was made with an all female crew with top notch dark academia ambience, what much else is there to say?

Next, along with watching film a good book is always needed to achieve that cozy autumn experience. Starting off with the obvious we have If We Were Villains (M.L. Rio), The Secret History (Donna Tartt), Little Women (Louisa May Alcott) and A Good Girls Guide to Murder (Holly Jackson). Then, I'd like to mention an extremely underrated book, Stepsister (Jennifer Donnell). This book is, as you can imagine, a retelling of Cinderella. However, it mainly focuses on one stepsisters actions after the fairytale events. Overall, I think this book is brilliant when you're in need of a fresh start, for example moving int a new year.

Once all the media is covered, it's always important to look at the overall vibe of your Autumn. I like to start off with the perfect fall outfits; knit jumpers, jeans, flared leggings, uggs, wooly scarves and cardigans. Wearing a cozy outfit that looks cute is always a great start to having a lovely 'Burrr' day.

Another few things I love to do in Autumn are going for walks with friends while the leaves are falling, trying new autumn drinks (currently obsessed with the Costa Coffee Maple Hot Chocolate) and going to events in my local area. No matter where you are, chances are a town nearby will have Christmas markets, firework displays or even just autumn themed activities to do. By taking part in these local events with your friends and family, you'll truly have a great few 'Burrr' months, living like you're from Stars Hollow.

I hope these recommendations were helpful and you have the best autumn (or Fall).

Come back soon, Andrea Xx
